Being active has so many benefits to support our physical health and wellbeing. We want to support everyone to be more active, whether you’re new to exercise and need some help to get started or training for your next challenge – we’re here to help.
Our leisure centres are equipped with a range of activities and ways to be active, including gym, classes and swimming, as well as 5-a side and other activities. Our staff and experienced coaches are on hand to offer you support and encouragement whatever your fitness journey.
If you’re new and would like some advice and support on getting started our Move activities can help you. Our programme features a range of classes from seated exercise to walking football – all designed to help you get moving. Or visit the Move Hub at Abbey Leisure Centre, featuring power assisted equipment, to help you improve mobility.
Fitness begins at any age and we have a range of activities suitable for children and young people from soccer tots, gymnastics and football. Plus, our soft play and Abbey Adventure facilities are a great way to keep the kids active and have fun! Young people may also enjoy swimming and gym activities as part of our thrive active junior membership.
