About Soft play

Crammed with slides, challenges and lots of fun our new soft play centre at Abbey Adventure is an exciting play area for young children of a variety of ages. There’s also more to come as our largest soft play area will open at Peterlee Leisure Centre later this year!

We also have soft play at the Louisa Centre and facilities at Chester-le-Street and Teesdale.

Abbey soft play

During the week, the Play Zone is open for little ones to enjoy before the wider Abbey Adventure opens after school. Older children can experience exhilarating slides and problem-solve their way through obstacles across three levels of fun, whilst toddlers have their own dedicated space filled with captivating activities, soft blocks and slides.

Peterlee soft play

Peterlee is home to our largest soft play with three levels to explore, plus a dedicated toddler area.

Right next door to the centre’s thrive kitchen, with lots of seating, the soft play area is the perfect place to indulge in a coffee, sweet treat or buy food for the family.

Louisa soft play

The Louisa Centre soft play is closed for refurbishment works.

We are creating an exciting new activity space, which will include an extended soft play area. Part of the sports hall will also be transformed into an activity space which will include the largest and only Tag Active arena in the region and climbing facilities.

Chester-le-Street soft play

Chester-le-Street has one of our smaller soft play facilities and is for up to 11 year olds. The rooms will keep little ones entertained as they climb, side and have lots of fun.

Spennymoor soft play

At Spennymoor we hold Tivity Tots and Toddler Time soft play sessions in the centre’s main hall. With soft play obstacles and children’s toys to play with, it’s an ideal way to entertain little ones and meet other parents.

Teesdale soft play

Teesdale has one of our smaller soft play facilities. It is available for under 10s who are under 1.46 metres tall. The room will keep little ones entertained as they climb, side and have lots of fun.

Parties

Why not spoil your little ones and book a soft play party at one of our centres. Choose Abbey Adventure and you can book for a special occasion and hire a party room and food. Other party options are available at our other soft play facilities.

Soft play
