Both pools at Consett Leisure Centre will be closed for essential maintenance from Monday 1st September 2025 for approximately 11 weeks. Further updates during the scheduled work will be circulated.

This work is required to refit lights and repair the flooring in the pool area.

Other Durham County Council swimming pools can be used during the duration of the closure. Learn 2 swim customers will also be contacted about alternative venues.

Consett Leisure Centre boasts a state of the art gym, studios and two swimming pools. Plus sports galore with an indoor sports hall and outdoor pitches, multi-use games areas and three squash courts.
