Tag Active Arena is an arena based game designed to test strategy, speed, agility, awareness and bravery. TAG Active promotes fitness, fun and competition.
The arena itself contains a complicated structure of inter-connected activity areas. Each area contains challenges that require a mixture of physical and mental agility. The arena is split into separated zones, allowing you to spread out and choose your own route. Hidden throughout the arena and within the activities are a large number of illuminated TAGs.
The TAGs are controlled by a central computer system and glow in different colours to show how many points they are worth. You collect points using a sensor worn as a wristband. You get points when your wristband contacts a TAG’s light source. As you find and reach TAGs, your score goes up. The points value for each TAG will be decided by how hard it is to reach. Strategy will play a large part – should you collect a lot of easier ones, or take on harder challenges to be rewarded with more points.
Each one booked session will give you chance to take part in three 15 minute games, with time for a rest and a drink between each game. Arenas can be designed to meet the space available and the number of people playing.
The new arena opens today (26 September). Find out more on The Louisa Centre page.
